Installation and commissioning

Installation is the moment everything is put to the test. We do it ourselves.

Services

Fitted and commissioned, with no chain of subcontractors

Badly installed equipment cancels out the design work that came before it. So our own teams go on site, with the drawings they watched being made and the parts they watched being built. No chain of subcontractors between the drawing and the fixing.

The visit is prepared: access, lifting gear, programme, working alongside other trades, protection of finished floors. It ends with commissioning - adjustments, load testing where it applies, checking clearances and run-offs, handing over the instructions and the test certificates.

We work on new build and on refurbishment of sites still in use, where the real constraint is usually phasing so the club can keep trading. Installing an indoor padel court has little to do with installing an outdoor one; fitting a cage in a room open to the public has little to do with fitting it on an empty platform.

What we hand over is a space that can open, not a pile of assembled parts: everything adjusted, everything tested, and someone who knows the site if a question comes up in the first weeks.

What that covers, discipline by discipline

Padel

Padel

Padel court installation, indoor and outdoor: setting out, erecting the structure, fitting the glazing and the turf, tensioning the nets, aiming the lighting, testing before opening.

The order is not up for discussion: foundation, structure, glazing, turf, lighting. Swapping two stages means lifting work again, and it is the turf that suffers.

Fitness & Cross-training

Fitness & Cross-training

Fitness equipment installation: assembling racks and machines, anchoring, laying technical flooring, checking the safety clearance around each station.

Floors first, then anchors, then the heavy machines, mirrors last: a mirror fitted before the machines arrive gets scratched.

Pilates

Pilates

Turnkey pilates studio installation: reformers positioned and adjusted, wall supports and storage fitted - a studio that opens the day after handover.

Machines are set station by station then checked together: that is the only way to get the same feel from one end of the row to the other.

Combat sports

Combat sports

MMA cage installation and boxing ring fitting: assembly, levelling, tensioning ropes or mesh, laying mats and wall padding.

Levelling a ring and tensioning its ropes need redoing after a few weeks of use: we allow for that second visit at installation.

Multi-sport spaces

Multi-sport spaces

Structures, goals, wall padding and storage fitted, with the line markings that go with them, coordinated with the other trades on site.

Installation is often done in an occupied building, outside term time or outside opening hours: the programme is constrained by operations, not by our teams.

Play areas

Play areas

Playground installation: setting out, foundations, laying impact-absorbing surfaces and checking the impact areas before the public is let in.

Setting the foundations takes a curing time nothing compresses, and poured surfacing imposes its own weather conditions: two delays to hold in the programme.

Frequently asked questions

Do you install equipment you did not supply?

Yes, regularly. We first survey the substrate and read the manufacturer's instructions: installing without either would mean taking on a responsibility we could not honour.

What we refuse is to install on a substrate we have not tested. That is not a commercial position: it is the one case where we could not answer for the result.

How long does installation take?

From a few days for a studio to several weeks for a complex. What sets the date is almost never the assembly but curing, drying and acclimatisation times.

They do not compress: we place them in the programme working back from your opening date.

Do you work in occupied buildings?

Often, and it is the rule on public facilities: outside term time, outside opening hours, with the existing floors protected and the site made good every evening.

That changes the organisation more than the price, and we say so in the quotation rather than mid-project.

Let us talk about the programme

An installation is booked weeks ahead, especially on a site that keeps trading. Tell us where, when and under what conditions, and we will tell you what is realistic.
