Seven trades under one roof. That is what keeps a client from being passed between suppliers when a dimension does not fall right.

Services

Seven trades, because the handover is where things break

A sports facility project normally passes through an architect, an engineering office, a manufacturer, a haulier, an installer and a maintenance contractor. Six parties, and five handovers - and it is at those five moments that dimensions get lost, deadlines slip and responsibility becomes vague. We chose to hold all seven trades ourselves in order to remove those handovers.

They follow the real course of a project, not an org chart. You design the space (space design), you draw what the catalogue does not cover (product design), you show it before the works (3D visualisation), you produce it (manufacturing), you ship it (delivery), you install it (installation), and you maintain it (maintenance).

Almost none of these trades is bought on its own. A study without manufacture ends in a quotation someone else will execute badly; equipment delivered without installation arrives on a floor nobody surveyed. We therefore sell projects, and the seven pages below say what each trade covers rather than presenting them as an à la carte list.

The practical consequence is a single line of responsibility. When a carriage does not run, when a joint lifts, when a dimension does not fall right, there is nobody to pass the question to - and the drawing, the workshop and the team that installed it are all here. That is tested in the fifth year, not the first.

Manufacturing in house is what makes the rest possible. A room that is too low, a roof structure that imposes its own fixing points, a lost corner: that is where the catalogue stops and the part gets drawn. It is also what gave rise to two of our brands, born of parts that kept coming back from one site to the next.

The seven trades apply to all five worlds: the method does not change between a padel court and a playground, only the constraints it meets. See our projects for work where all seven followed on from each other.

The seven trades

Space design

Space design

A sports space is not drawn from a catalogue. It is drawn from a building, a use and a constraint.

Product design

Product design

The catalogue covers most of it. There is always one part that does not exist yet - that is the one we draw.

3D design

3D design

A drawing has to be read. A render is understood. That is the whole difference when a decision is due.

Manufacturing

Manufacturing

Between the drawing and the site there is the workshop. That is where dimensions turn into parts.

Installation

Installation

Installation is the moment everything is put to the test. We do it ourselves.

Delivery

Delivery

Equipment delivered at the wrong moment costs more than equipment delivered late.

Maintenance

Maintenance

Sports equipment does not wear out on the day it breaks. It wears out every day, quietly.

Frequently asked questions

Can we entrust you with a single stage?

Often yes - a study on its own, installation on its own, a maintenance contract on a fleet we did not supply. We do it regularly.

What we refuse is to install equipment on a substrate we have not surveyed. That is not a commercial position: it is the one case where we could not answer for the result.

How long does a full project take?

Three to eight months between sign-off and opening, depending on the family of work. It is almost never installation that sets the date, but procurement and the building works.

We therefore build the programme backwards from your commercial opening date, committing the long-lead items first.

Do you really manufacture, or do you assemble?

We manufacture: bespoke parts are drawn and then produced in our own workshop, and the drawings stay with us.

We do not make everything, though - a sports hall floor or a selectorised machine are industrial trades we do not have. On those ranges we choose, we install and we maintain. See our brands.

Do you work far from Beauvais?

Across mainland France from our Beauvais site, and internationally from our Canadian base.

For a distant site the organisation changes more than the price: we group visits, prepare more in the workshop and reduce the number of trips.

A project to price, or just a question?

Tell us about the premises, the activity you have in mind and the opening date you are working to. We will tell you which trade to start with, and what the others assume.
